Biography
John received his BS degree in Integrative Biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. After completing his PhD degree in Plant Biology here at the University of Georgia, he continued on as a postdoctoral researcher in Dr. Katrien Devos’ laboratory. His PhD work focused on genetic and physiological mechanisms of salt tolerance in the halophyte seashore paspalum.
Research
My research in the Devos laboratory focuses on a highly salt-tolerant turfgrass, seashore paspalum, to better understand mechanisms of salt tolerance in plants. I'm using a combination of genetics and physiological approaches to accomplish this.
