Graduate Student Email: rjl39747@uga.edu Lab: Leebens-Mack Lab & Williams Lab | Miller Plant Sciences Research Research Areas: Ecology & Global Change Evolutionary Biology Molecular Genetics Systematics Research Interests: My research focuses on cyclical reproduction strategies such as masting and gregarious flowering, the evolution and trade-offs of clonal versus asexual reproduction, and the extent to which somatic mutation accumulation contributes to genetic diversity in clonal species. Bamboo serves as an ideal study system for these questions. Education Education: Admission to University of Georgia via the Integrated Plant Sciences (IPS) Doctoral Program, Fall 2024 M.S. in Biology from Jacksonville State University, 2022 B. S. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Jacksonville State University, 2020
