The fast-forward talks are short presentations of newly emerging research and get publicly voted on by the membership of the North American Plant Phenotyping Network (NAPPN).

Brad Nelms, Assistant Professor in Plant Biology, was featured in UGA Today for his research on pollen grains that was published in Science on January 28. Before this study researchers did not know when maize pollen starts to express its own genetic information.

This year, PLOS ONE celebrates its 15 year anniversary. Over this period the journal has published over a quarter of a million articles.
