Image: Since June 2014, PBIO undergrad Emma Shipman has worked in the Khang lab studying early infection morphogenesis of the rice blast fungus, Magnaporthe oryzae. With other lab members, she co-authored a poster and paper (in review) on dynamics of effector-secreting cell establishment by M. oryzae. She is starting graduate school in September at the University of California at Davis's Plant Biology Graduate Group.
