Image: The Wilbur Duncan Award for Outstanding Graduate Student was awarded to Callie Oldfield, a graduate student in the lab of Chris Peterson, for her contribution to scientific research, teaching, and service to the department. Some of Callie’s achievement include publishing seven articles, mentoring 18 undergraduate students (some co-authored journal publications), serving as the Instructor of Record for a graduate training course in university teaching, and volunteering at numerous science fairs. Callie also served as the PBGSA secretary and president. She is currently the chair for the Ecological Society of America student section. Congratulations also to Na Wang, a graduate student in the lab of Kelly Dawe, who received an honorable mention for Wilbur Duncan Award!
