Image: Congratulations to Mason McNair and Mark Zenoble for being featured as Unsung Heroes, UGA’s tribute to staff across campus for their service to students, their team and the UGA community amidst the pandemic. Mark and Mason were selected for transitioning the Plant Taxonomy course to a hybrid synchronous online course during the pandemic. They created and presented content for the lectures and laboratory sessions, including plant dissections, greenhouse and herbarium videos, and video walking tours around campus to identify various plants. In doing so, they hope to share their passion for plants with their students and to make them more aware of the plants around them.
